Our Hospital Medical Officer positions provide a highly practical, hands-on training experience for junior doctors. With exposure to a diverse and complex patient population, our health service acts as the referral and trauma centre for the entire region, covering an area from Woodend to southern New South Wales.
We are a major regional health provider, operating 372 inpatient beds, 72 same-day beds, 11 operating theatres, a regional cancer centre, an 80-bed integrated mental health facility, and a dedicated mother and baby unit. Our HMO program includes general, surgical, critical care, and medical basic physician trainee streams.
There is no minimum shift requirement to remain on the casual bank; however, you must ensure your annual flu vaccination is up to date each year in order to stay compliant.
