Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) is looking for multiple HOPE Wellbeing Support Workers to join our growing team on a part-time basis.
This is a unique graduate opportunity to join the Hospital Outreach Post-Suicidal Engagement (HOPE) Program — a vital Victorian Government initiative supporting people following a suicidal crisis.
The HOPE Program provides 12 weeks of assertive, community-based aftercare, delivering integrated clinical, psychosocial and peer support tailored to each consumer’s needs. Working as part of a skilled multidisciplinary team, you’ll support people at a critical time in their recovery journey while developing strong foundations for a career in mental health.
This 2-year graduate role offers a protected workload, enhanced supervision and structured learning, designed to support your transition into mental health practice and open pathways to ongoing employment within Community Mental Health Services.
About the role
As a HOPE Wellbeing Support Worker, you will provide non-therapeutic psychosocial support to consumers experiencing suicidality. Under the guidance of experienced clinicians, you’ll work collaboratively with individuals to identify goals, strengthen connections, and build capacity to engage in everyday life.

You will be supported through regular supervision, discipline-specific support, and mandatory evidence-based training, including the Suicide Prevention Mandatory Training Program (SSIT).

About you
You are a compassionate, motivated Social Work graduate with a genuine interest in mental health and suicide prevention. You value teamwork, diversity and recovery-oriented practice, and you’re eager to learn within a supportive environment.
