ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Heritage Machinery Coordinator is responsible for the safe operation, maintenance and presentation of the heritage steam engines within the iconic Spotswood Pumping Station at Scienceworks. The role plays a key part in bringing this significant industrial heritage to life for visitors through engine activations, tours, demonstrations and public presentations.
Working closely with colleagues across Museums Victoria, the Heritage Machinery Coordinator supports visitor engagement programs, contributes specialist technical expertise to projects and events, and coordinates the day-to-day activities of a team of engine drivers to ensure the ongoing operation and preservation of these important heritage assets.

This is a regular part time position 0.6 FTE. The salary on offer is a VPS3.1 Base salary of $81,496 per annum (pro rata) plus 12% superannuation.
The successful applicant is required to undergo a National Police Records Check and Working with Children Check and be assessed as suitable (new employees are required to meet this cost).
