Ready to shape forest management in Gippsland?
As a Healthy Forests Officer, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of our forests. Working alongside a skilled team, you'll contribute to planning and engagement for the delivery of on-ground action to improve the health and management of our forests.
In this role, you'll be active in enabling communities to partner with DEECA to guide and prioritise forest management activities including conservation, forest restoration, recreation, economic development and cultural heritage. You will bring your skills in engagement and collaboration to work closely with Traditional Owners, local communities, user groups and government agencies.
Your work will develop Healthy Forest Plans, making a real difference on the ground by reflecting the priorities of the community at Orbost.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
This is a fixed term position available for a period until 30 June 2029. The work location for this position is East Gippsland, Orbost preferred with hybrid work arrangements available.
