The Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VHBA also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines.
The Opportunity:
The Head of Strategic Communications is an exciting opportunity to lead both the development and execution of communication strategies to support the state’s largest and most impactful health infrastructure projects. This position supports public awareness of infrastructure projects by providing strategic leadership across teams and ensuring the delivery of high-quality outputs.
Oversee the logistics for Ministerial and internal staff events, stakeholder briefings, speech preparation, and development of speaking notes.
Drive the development of VHBA’s strategic brand positioning by overseeing consumer outlook and implementing communications to enhance public awareness of infrastructure projects.
Lead the development and ongoing refinement of VHBA’s strategic corporate messaging, executive collateral and briefings to ensure clear, consistent, and compelling messaging across all channels.
We are looking for:
Proven experience in a comparable role leading a team to develop and execute integrated strategic communications strategies, ideally within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
Strong ability to navigate complex concepts using analytical and conceptual thinking to solve problems and the ability to generate creative ideas and drive innovation.
Strong ability to make logical and well-informed decisions by evaluating facts and alternatives, with the capability to make difficult choices, even when information is incomplete.
A strong track record developing and enabling a high-performing team.
