About the role:
The Group Manager Wellbeing Services at Victoria Police provides strategic and operational leadership for the delivery and governance of clinical and wellbeing services. The role oversees all service functions within Wellbeing Services across numerous units including the Police Psychology Unit, the Welfare Unit, the Chaplaincy Unit, the Peer Support Unit and the Internal Witness Support Unit and including the delivery of a 24/7 critical incident and response service.
The role provides timely, high-level specialist advice to organisational leaders on complex trauma and occupational mental health and wellbeing matters, and contributes to the development and implementation of psychological and wellbeing related initiatives.
Reporting to the Commander of Health, Safety and Wellbeing Division, the role works in close partnership with internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure coordinated, compliant and responsive mental health support arrangements. As a senior leader, the role contributes to organisational performance, budget and strategy implementation, builds workforce capability, and leads key initiatives and reform activity aligned to Victoria Police priorities.
