SC1 ¿ Operational Leadership and Work Coordination
Demonstrated capacity to perform maintenance and grounds duties in line with established Department and school guidelines, policies and frameworks. Demonstrated ability to coordinate, guide and support others in relation to specific work functions, including prioritising tasks and ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard.
SC2 ¿ Buildings, Grounds and Risk Management
Demonstrated ability to independently maintain school buildings, grounds and other facilities, including planning and undertaking routine repairs, maintenance and grounds works. Proven capacity to implement Occupational Health and Safety requirements, identify hazards, manage risk and ensure a safe working environment within a school setting.
SC3 ¿ Advanced Technical Knowledge and Problem Solving
Demonstrated advanced technical knowledge and practical expertise relevant to the role, including the safe and competent use of tools, machinery and equipment associated with building maintenance and grounds work. Demonstrated ability to diagnose issues, apply problem-solving skills and determine appropriate courses of action, including escalation to licensed trades where required.
SC4 ¿ Stakeholder Engagement and Contractor Coordination
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including school leadership, staff, contractors, Department representatives and members of the school community. Proven capacity to coordinate contractors and external providers to ensure timely, compliant and effective completion of works.
SC5 ¿ Planning, Organisation and Administrative Accountability
Proven organisational and time management skills, with the ability to independently plan, prioritise and manage competing maintenance demands. Demonstrated capacity to maintain accurate records, manage work orders, support procurement within Department guidelines and deliver high-quality outcomes in a dynamic school environment.

Springvale Rise Primary School is a dual-campus government sector school located in the South-Eastern Victoria Region, approximately twenty-five (25) kilometres from Melbourne's city centre. The Heights Campus is positioned in a well-established residential area and features a brand new Administration Block and Community Hub, two modern open-plan learning centres, a synthetic basketball court, state-of-the-art playground equipment, large grassed playing fields and a kindergarten (which operates in partnership with the City of Greater Dandenong and BestChance). Approximately two (2) kilometres south, the Springvale Campus is located in central Springvale and bordered by both residential and commercial zones. The original, red brick schoolhouse now accommodates the administration offices, whilst the refurbished classrooms, synthetic oval and inviting play areas all contribute to a learning environment of which the whole community is proud.
