Barayip Primary School was built as part of the Victorian Government's commitment to deliver 100 new schools between 2019 and 2026. Our school is located at 290 Hummingbird Boulevard Tarneit 3029, with a capacity to accommodate 650 students. We officially opened in 2025.

The Business Manager is responsible for:
Manage the school budget, financial reporting, and accounting processes, ensuring compliance with Department regulations.
Lead recruitment, induction, and professional development for support staff.
Provide administrative support for the Principal, teaching staff, and school events.
Oversee student enrolments, transfers, and exits.
Lead HR processes, including recruitment, staff induction, professional development, and WorkCover compliance.
Draft reports and provide advice to leadership and School Council on operational and strategic matters.

A Business Manager role will usually undertake tasks that impact on the whole school. The role seeks to gain cooperation of other staff members or members of the school community to achieve specific objectives, such as in school administration, finance or human resources.
Direction on targets and goals is provided but the position will have some degree of latitude in determining how they are achieved. This latitude will generally be limited by standard procedures and school policy. Deviation from standard procedures and school policy will require guidance and direction from senior management.
Management of staff to achieve the expected outcomes is a key responsibility. Staff management issues will be resolved with minimal reference to senior management, although guidance will be required in more complex cases. Senior management will be provided with timely reports and advice in matters relating to the school finance, human resources or school administration.
Education Support Level 2 Range 6
An education support class role at this range is a senior member of School leadership, accountable for multiple key areas or functions for the school(s), including the achievement of established school objectives.
An education support class position supports the educational services being provided to students but must not include duties of a teacher as defined in clause 2.6.1 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic) or its successor.
Supervision of students can be required where it is an integral part of the employee¿s position or in circumstances where supervision is required individually or in groups up to 4 in controlled circumstances where the responsibility for students remains clearly with a teacher and under the overall responsibility of a teacher.
Range 6 applies across all streams of education support class work as relevant. The duties and responsibilities for the types of education support class work that can be expected at this level are set out below.
