Are you a creative and practical graphic designer who enjoys turning complex information into clear, engaging and accessible visual communications?
DEECA’s Marketing and Creative Services team is looking for a Graphic Designer to join the team on a 12-month fixed term basis. This role will support the delivery of high-quality design work across print, digital and campaign channels, helping communicate important departmental work to staff, stakeholders and the Victorian community.
Working within a busy in-house creative team, you will develop a wide range of visual communication materials, including social media assets, campaign collateral, iconography, infographics, long-form publications, reports, presentations and other digital and print outputs.
You will work closely with designers, marketing and campaign advisers, video producers, digital specialists and internal stakeholders to deliver fit-for-purpose creative solutions that align with DEECA, Victorian Government, accessibility and inclusion requirements.

About you
You will bring strong graphic design capability, sound judgement and the ability to manage multiple jobs in a fast-paced environment. You will be confident in interpreting briefs, working to deadlines and communicating clearly with stakeholders throughout the design process.
Applicants are required to submit a portfolio containing up to 10 examples of recent design work. Your portfolio should demonstrate the breadth and quality of your design experience, including examples across print and/or digital channels. Examples of campaign collateral, publications, infographics, presentations, social media assets or accessible design work would be particularly useful.

This is a fixed term position available until 27 August 2027. The work location for this position is 2 Lonsdale Street, East Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
