About the Role

As a Graduate Solicitor in the Legal Services team, you will support Coroners and experienced legal practitioners in the investigation of deaths and fires, helping advance CCOV's vision of reducing preventable deaths. Working closely with Coroner's Solicitors, Senior Legal Counsel and Principal In-House Solicitors, you will gain exposure to a broad range of legal, research and case management work in a unique judicial environment.

As the successful candidate, you will be a legal professional with exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
You will also demonstrate the ability to:
• Apply critical judgement to undertake legal research and analysis and prepare advice in relation to legal matters.
• Effectively manage a caseload of matters ensuring timelines are met and quality standards are maintained.
It is a requirement that the incumbent is admitted to practise (or eligible to be admitted) as a Legal Practitioner of the Supreme Court of Victoria.
