About the role
South West Healthcare has an exciting opportunity for a tertiary qualified graduate to commence their career in the specialist sexual assault sector. If you graduated within the past 12 months, or if this is your first role in the specialist sexual assault sector, we would love to hear from you.
The Graduate Sexual Violence Support Worker (12-month fixed-term) works alongside the South Western Centre Against Sexual Assault (SWCASA) team to support victim-survivors of sexual violence and their non-offending family members to access welfare and social support services that complement their therapeutic recovery. The role joins a highly supportive, experienced and innovative team who are committed to reducing the impact of gender-based violence in the South West region.
This is a supported graduate role, working under the guidance of experienced Counsellor/Advocates. You will gradually build your skills and confidence in trauma-informed practice while gaining exposure to intake, assessment, referrals, group programs, and project-based initiatives. Opportunities to participate in service development activities are also available, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of SWCASA programs.
This role is ideal for graduates seeking a safe, structured, and well-supervised entry into specialist practice, with strong mentoring, regular supervision, and access to professional development.
