About the role
The Geriatric Medicine Registrar at SWH will have direct but shared responsibility for the treatment of geriatric patients at SWH. They will provide medical assessment and management as member of the multi-disciplinary team in the Geriatric department. The position will enable an effective and active role in the Geriatric assessment and discharge planning of patients resulting in best possible outcome for the patient and their families.
This position is a 6 month fixed-term full time role commencing 3 August 2026.

The successful applicant will hold current Registration Certificate of the Medical Practitioners Board of Australia and is able to demonstrate a commitment to providing safe, high quality patient care with a view to ongoing learning and self-development.
Excellent communication skills and an ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams are essential to the success of this position.
