Why Join RMH?
About the role
As a Genetic Counsellor or Associate Genetic Counsellor (Grade 2 or 3), you will provide high-quality genetic counselling to individuals and families accessing Adult Genetics and Familial Cancer services across a range of metropolitan and regional clinics. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll support patients through complex genetic information, risk assessment, testing and ongoing management, helping them make informed decisions about their healthcare.
This varied role offers exposure to a broad casemix across adult genetics and hereditary cancer, with opportunities to work collaboratively alongside clinical geneticists, specialist clinicians and allied health professionals. You'll contribute to service excellence through patient care, education, quality improvement and the ongoing development of genetics services, while being supported in your own professional growth within one of Victoria's leading public health services.
