The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a General Manager to provide a critical role at Corella Place as part of the Offender Services unit.
About the Business Unit
The Serious Offenders Act 2018 sets out a civil, non-punitive scheme that provides for the ongoing supervision or detention of serious sex and/or serious violence residents who have completed their prison sentence and pose an unacceptable risk of committing further sexual and/or violence offences. Correction Victoria's end-to-end management and delivery of services to serious sex and serious violence offenders on post-sentence orders occurs through a multi-faceted governance and operating model.
Corella Place comprises of two sites in Ararat. It is a residential facility that enhances the protection of the community by providing supported accommodation and support for high-risk and complex sex offenders when appropriate accommodation in the community is not available.
About the Role
As the Corella Place General Manager you will lead a multidisciplinary team based in a transitional accommodation setting that provides highly complex service delivery to residents with multiple and complex needs. You wll also provide both high-level technical expertise as well as strategic advice to the Department of Justice and Community Safety regarding the management of people that have committed sex offences.
