The Victorian Energy Compare (VEC) website provides an independent, comprehensive and trustworthy energy price comparison service for Victorian residential and business energy consumers. The website allows consumers to understand their electricity consumption and to compare energy offers to find offers that better meets their needs.
The Developer – PHP and front-end technologies, reporting to the Senior Programme Manager, will be responsible for supporting the operational maintenance and feature enhancements to the Victorian Energy Compare and related applications, including the Power Saving Bonus program.
This role requires extensive knowledge of, and experience with, PHP web development, and experience with Laravel and Angular frameworks. Operations experience with Linux and knowledge of the retail energy industry will be an advantage. In addition to demonstrating the requisite technical skills, the successful applicant will have strong problem solving and analysis skills and experience working in government environments.

This is a fixed term position available for a period until 30 June 2026. The work location for this position is Melbourne, CBD with hybrid work arrangements available.
