About the Austin Health Foundation
The Austin Health Foundation leads philanthropic fundraising and volunteer engagement across Austin Health. Philanthropic investment supports medical equipment, clinical innovation, research and improved patient care across Austin Health’s hospitals and specialist centres. The Foundation works closely with clinicians, researchers and executive leaders to ensure philanthropic funds are stewarded with transparency, integrity and measurable impact.
About the role
Philanthropy is becoming an increasingly important driver of innovation across public healthcare. As the Austin Health Foundation continues to grow, strong governance, financial oversight and operational capability are essential to ensuring philanthropic investment delivers meaningful outcomes.
This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the operational foundations that enable philanthropy to thrive across a major public health service. Reporting to the Foundation Director, the Foundation Operations Manager plays a critical leadership role in ensuring philanthropic funds are governed, allocated and reported with integrity across Austin Health.
The role works closely with Foundation leaders, Finance and clinical stakeholders to oversee the development, financial allocation, tracking and reporting of donor-funded initiatives. As a member of the Foundation leadership team, the role contributes to strategic planning, operational performance and organisational capability building.
