Food Technology and Hospitality Assistant
We are seeking a motivated and organised Food Technology and Hospitality Assistant to support our Food Studies and Hospitality programs. Working under the direction of teaching staff, this role involves assisting with class preparation, maintaining kitchen areas, supporting students, and helping deliver hospitality services including breakfast club, canteen assistance when required, and school events.
Key Responsibilities and Attributes:
¿ Prepare ingredients, equipment, and materials for classes while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety
¿ Manage stock including online ordering, stocktakes, and basic financial reporting
¿ Support teachers and students during practical lessons and assist in the canteen when required
¿ Demonstrate strong organisation, clear communication, and a friendly, team-focused approach
¿ Barista or Point of Sale experience and relevant Food Safety or Hospitality qualifications are desirable but not essential
This is a great opportunity where you will be supported by a large, experienced team including two highly experienced VET teachers and provided with training including certificates to build your skills and confidence within the role.
