About the role:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Food Services Assistant to join Victoria Police's People Development Command (PDC). PDC is responsible for providing education, training and development for all employees of Victoria Police from initial training and throughout their career.
This role contributes to the delivery of large-scale catering services across two key sites— the Victoria Police Academy and Airlie Leadership Development Centre. As a Food Services Assistant, you will work as part of a team supporting commercial kitchen operations, with the Academy kitchen staffed by ten people and the Airlie kitchen by three.
The role involves assisting with food preparation, service, maintaining hygiene standards, ensuring meals are delivered efficiently and to a high standard. Your contribution supports the broader objectives of the Command in providing a professional and well-managed catering service for staff and recruits.
This position requires flexibility with shifts required to be performed at two PDC kitchens (the Victoria Police Academy in Glen Waverley and Airlie in South Yarra). This position entails shift work Monday to Friday, with shifts usually commencing between 5:30am and 10:30am. Rostering will be provided in accordance with the applicable Enterprise Agreement.
