Miners Rest Primary School is located approximately 10km north-west of Ballarat and sits within one of the region¿s fastest-growing communities. We are excited to offer the opportunity to join our dedicated administration team commencing Term 4 2026 in the capacity of First Aid and OHS Support.
As a first point of contact for students visiting our well equipped sick bay, you will support their care and wellbeing and accurate record management. The role will provide first aid and student treatment, administer medications, support staff with first aid requirements for excursions and activities, and oversee first aid compliance across the school.
Working closely with the Principal, you will also assist with the administration of the school¿s OHS obligations, supporting compliance and record keeping.
Ideally, we are seeking attendance from 11.00am¿2.30pm, Monday to Friday (17.5 hours per week), with the potential to negotiate attendance across four days.
Once application close, we look to host interviews week commencing Monday 14th September with view of onboarding as soon as possible from Monday 5 October 2026.

An education support class position at this range will perform tasks that are carried out in accordance with guidelines, accepted practice, and school policy under supervision and direction. This may include coordination of other education support class staff within the work area or educational program.
An education support class position at this range commencing at the base will initially be limited to undertaking routine tasks that are carried out under close supervision and direction. Work that carries some degree of independence will generally involve a limited number of tasks performed on a regular basis where priorities are clear, procedures are well established, and direction is readily available. Subject to any specific qualification and/or training requirement, an education support class employee employed in this range may be progressively required to undertake coordination, specialised student/teacher support tasks, or technical tasks as experience in the role is gained.
Primary Role & Responsibilities
First responder - First Aid over the Recess and Lunch Period. Attending to student first aid needs , ensuring accurate data entry into SENTRAL (Training provided)
Candidates must hold current WWCC, First Aid Certificate and CPR qualifications.
