The First Aid Assistant supports the effective operation of Balwyn High School's First Aid service by providing first aid assistance to students, maintaining accurate records, supporting medication administration processes, liaising with parents and carers, and undertaking a range of administrative duties associated with the day-to-day operation of First Aid.
The role works collaboratively with the First Aid Officer and Wellbeing Team to ensure students receive timely care and support throughout the school day.

When the First Aid Officer is not in attendance, the First Aid Assistant may receive higher duties and assume responsibility for the day-to-day operation of First Aid, including coordinating first aid responses, making operational decisions and escalating matters to leadership as required.
