As a Fire Planning Officer, you’ll play a key role in developing the Joint Fuel Management Program (JFMP), combining planned burning, mechanical fuel treatment and strategic fuel break programs to reduce bushfire risk and improve outcomes for people and nature.
The Fire Planning Officer will bring together operational planning, strategic thinking and strong stakeholder engagement to support fuel management programs that reflect local priorities, including embedding cultural burning as a core regional priority.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Loddon Mallee Region with hybrid work arrangements available.
