About the role:
The Financial Analyst will support the ICT Finance and Shared Services Manager in the development and coordination of the Department's contributions to the State Budget process. This includes working collaboratively with internal divisions, central agencies, and ministers' offices to prepare budget submissions and associated deliverables. The role also involves assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Enterprise Technology Branch and promoting budget literacy across the team and broader organisation.
In addition, the Financial Analyst will build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including central agencies and program and policy areas within the Department.
To succeed in this role, you will be a high-performing individual with demonstrated strengths in leadership, financial, conceptual and analytical thinking, problem solving, policy development, and written and verbal communication. This position is well-suited to individuals who are confident navigating complex policy, budget, and administrative matters, thrive in multidisciplinary teams, and proactively engage with stakeholders.
