Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.

About Finance Services
Finance Services supports the core financial management and analysis functions of the courts and tribunals, ensuring Courts Group adheres to the Victorian Government's financial management and accountability framework for the proper use of public resources.
The Financial Accounting team deliver key activities including setting policies and procedures for conformance with legislation and regulations, producing detailed analysis, briefings, statutory reports, and financial statements for government and central agencies, and leading the management of financial risks.
About the role
The Financial Accountant is responsible for managing month-end and year-end financial processing and reconciliation activities to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results. Key responsibilities include reconciling general ledger accounts and specific expenditure items, processing journals, and cost allocations, undertaking leave adjustments, submitting cash forecasts to the Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF), administering the purchase card program, maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, reconciling trust funds, and conducting expense analysis.
The role also supports the Senior Financial Accountants in the preparation and lodgement of monthly taxation returns, management of Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) obligations, statutory reporting requirements, and reporting to committees. In addition, the Financial Accountant contributes to the review and maintenance of financial policies, procedures, authorisations, and delegations.
