About the role
The Finance Systems Specialist (Projects) role is responsible for the management and delivery of support and maintenance services for users of the department’s project portfolio management modules such as cost management and control, Billing and revenue management and resource management. The role ensures this support services are user-focussed and delivers innovation regarding business process design and finance systems service delivery.
This is a senior role who will be the subject matter expert on the Oracle project financial modules such as project costing, billing, time and labour and also the budgeting and forecasting custom application.

Position accountabilities
This role provides leadership in delivering and maintaining project portfolio and ERP systems, ensuring effective end-to-end support in collaboration with finance teams. It oversees system projects and change management, from requirements and design through to testing, upgrades, and data migration, while driving continuous improvement to enhance efficiency. Success relies on strong stakeholder engagement, clear communication, effective people leadership, and ensuring compliance through audits, training, and robust system controls.
