The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking a Finance Supervisor to provide a critical role at Dame Phyllis Frost Centre (DPFC).
About the Business Unit
Corrections Victoria is responsible for the direction, management and operation of Victoria's prison system and Post Sentence Scheme. As a service agency within the Department of Justice & Community Safety (DJCS), Corrections Victoria develops and implements policies, programs and services that ensure the safe and secure containment of prisoners, and that seek to rehabilitate offenders by addressing the underlying causes of offending behaviour.
The DPFC is a 649-bed medium to maximum-security facility for female offenders located within the West Metropolitan Region, Department of Justice. The DPFC is dedicated to supporting prisoners with mental health, cognitive impairment, physical disabilities and complex needs.
About the Role
The Finance Supervisor at DPFC is responsible for providing a range of financial, budget, strategic, and administrative services and support. These services include Corporate Services Team coordination (Administration, Stores, Canteen, Finance, Mail Services), financial analysis and management reporting, innovative and expert advice, procurement and asset management. Additionally, this role has a focus on operational corporate support in prisoner monies, stores/warehousing, finance and general administration.
This position may require direct prisoner contact and may involve weekend and public holiday work, remunerated in accordance with the applicable provision of the VPS Determination.

Experience or a qualification in procurement or a business discipline is desirable.
