The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) is a statutory body responsible to the Victorian Minister for Education, serving both government and non-government schools. We provide high quality curriculum, assessment and reporting for all Victorian student's birth to 18 years.
An exciting opportunity exists to join the Corporate Services Division in the Finance Unit in an ongoing full-time position.
Led by the Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Unit's core purpose is to maintain strong financial management practices across all aspects of the VCAA, and as a result, see financial impacts considered as a part of all decision making.
Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to provide strategic financial leadership and ensure the effective management of the organisation's budget and financial resources, supporting the unique functions of the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority. The Finance Manager is responsible for leading the budget cycle, engaging with key stakeholders, and supporting the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in the development and implementation of financial strategies that align with the organisation's objectives.
