The core of this role is assisting the Business Manager with the school's financial data within Cases21, in accordance with DET policies and guidelines. This will include Accounts Payable,Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliations, budget monitoring and supporting the Business Manager to provide timely financial reporting and advice to staff.
The position is also responsible for maintaining all maintenance information in the Asset Information Management System (AIMS).
The position also provides back-up to other Administration staff in need, including reception duties and First-Aid.
Accounts Payable /Receivable
Supports the processing of Creditor invoices into CASES when needed
Receipting of family payments (Compass)
Purchase orders - raising / matching in Compass or manually and procurement documents as required
CommBiz Weekly Payment runs - direct deposits, BPay
Creditor enquires/calls
AIMS System management - orders, and liaising with Maintenance Co-ordinator
Westpac Purchase cards processing and reconciling support when needed
Journals to correct coding errors
Have a clear understanding of Cases21 Finance within DET policy and guidelines, in particular Procurement compliance.
Edupay / School Local Payroll
Support Business Manager with routine HR management and enquiries
Processing of fortnightly school council employees¿ timesheets into Edupay. Generate certification payroll reports
Follow up on staff absences and entries
General Administration Support
Backup support to other Administration staff answering telephone, providing reception and first-aid support for students if needed.
