Finance Analyst (3 x positions)
The Role
We're looking for three motivated and detail-oriented Finance Analysts with strong analytical skills and a sound understanding of financial principles and public sector processes. The ideal candidates can work with financial data to produce clear, accurate analysis and support effective decision-making.
Working under the guidance of senior staff, the roles contribute to the development and maintenance of financial models, and monitors expenditure and financial performance against budgets. A high level of engagement with a wide range of stakeholders is a key part of the roles, requiring strong interpersonal and communication skills.

The Team
The positions of Finance Analyst form a part of two Branches within the Skills and TAFE Groups:
The Office of TAFE Coordination and Delivery (OTCD) incorporating the TAFE Strategy, Systems and Tertiary Governance branch and the TAFE Performance, Finance and Infrastructure branch, plays a system leadership and management role for the Victorian TAFE Network (VTN) across Victoria. The OTCD is primarily responsible for driving change in the way the Victorian TAFE Network responds to government priorities and provides training as a coordinated network, better serving Victorian students, employers and communities.
The Policy and Strategy Branch (PSB) lead the system and strategic policy settings of Victoria's vocational education and training (VET) system so that it delivers high quality outcomes for learners and the Victorian economy. PSB monitors VET system trends and performance and oversees its financial management. PSB works with the Commonwealth, state and territory governments and other stakeholders (including universities) to influence national reform across Australia's tertiary education system, encompassing both higher education and VET. PSB leads and develops Skills strategy, including through Cabinet processes, and collaborates on policy design across the Department and Whole of Government. PSB manages group budget and contributes to strategic policy projects, including those under the National Skills Agreement.
