SC1 Demonstrated experience and skills in effectively managing a team to achieve high level outcomes in weekly routine schedules, work priorities, repairs, projects and minor works.
SC2 Demonstrated highly established organisational skills to develop and document schedules, procedures and guidelines relating to the maintenance and facilities, with consideration of risk management, safe work practices and child safety.
SC3 Demonstrated high-level written and verbal communication skills and high-level interpersonal skills including a capacity to develop collaborative relationships with staff, contractors, service providers and facilities hirers.
SC4 Possess the technical skills and expertise relevant to the building repairs, grounds maintenance and project management.
SC5 Demonstrated capacity to provide expert advice and support to the Executive Leadership Team in respect to maintenance, grounds and facilities.
The role will support the learning, wellbeing and safety of the school community by ensuring the grounds and facilities are maintained to a high standard. The role will involve working collaboratively with the Maintenance team and their implementation of scheduled responisibilities and projects as well as responding to and addressing maintenance and safety needs. This role reports directly to the Executive Leadership Team.
Range 4 is distinguished by broader management responsibility, particularly in the areas of finance, human resource and other support functions. Range 4 is responsible for managing a range of functions under a wide range of conditions, subject to the size and complexity of school operations.
Objectives will, generally, be clearly defined; guidelines will be broad and day-to-day direction minimal. Management responsibility extends to ensuring appropriate support levels are maintained across the school. Range 4 generally provides key support and timely advice to the leadership team and school council and liaises with the general school community, the Department and other government agencies and service providers.
Specialised professional roles will carry a high level of independence and accountability where suitable scope is provided to achieve objectives.
An education support class position supports the educational services being provided to students, but must not include duties of teaching as defined in clause 2.6.1 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic) or its successor. Supervision of students cannot be required except where it is an integral part of the employee's position or involves supervision of students individually or in small groups, in controlled circumstances, where the responsibility for students remains clearly with a teacher.

Roxburgh Rise Primary School is located in Roxburgh Park and is a member of the Hume-Merribek Network in the North-Western Victoria Region. It opened in January 2005 and caters for students Foundation (Prep) to Grade 6. The school has a total of 630 enrolments and our staff include 3 principal class, 4 Leading Teachers, 4 Learning Specialists, a mixture of specialist and generalist teachers, classroom Education Support, an Administration team and a suite of Allied Health professionals, which make up our amazing team.
