In this rotating Entry Level Program (ELP) role, you’ll join our mental health teams at the John Cade Unit (JCU) and Waratah Clinic, building a strong foundation in clinical mental health practice. You’ll provide acute, brief and longer-term interventions, working closely with consumers, families/carers and multidisciplinary teams using a recovery-oriented approach.
Your New Role
• Build mental health and discipline-specific skills through supervision, reflective practice and targeted professional development
• Work in a multidisciplinary team over a 24-month program, with rotation opportunities
• Participate in facilitated peer support and competency-based learning
• Contribute to safe, person-centred care aligned to RMH values
• Full-time role (80 hours per fortnight) with monthly ADO
About You
You’re a new or recent Exercise Physiology graduate ready to apply your skills in mental health and committed to improving outcomes for adults with complex needs. You bring:
• Skills in assessing and treating chronic health conditions
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic clinical setting
• Initiative, curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science or equivalent (ESSA-approved)
• Eligible for AEP accreditation through ESSA
• Current ESSA AEP accreditation
