About the role:
The Executive Director, People holds a pivotal, forward-looking leadership position within the Department of Health. They are tasked with envisioning, developing and implementing a contemporary people function for the Department and Safer Care Victoria and overseeing key enterprise bargaining and industrial relations matters for the public health sector.
The role has oversight of four core units within the People branch, including People Operations and Planning, Occupational Health and Safety and Wellbeing, Workplace Relations, Experience and Inclusion, and Health Sector Relations. The Executive Director ensures that these units work cohesively across the People branch and the broader department and align with the broader departmental objectives.
The role drives innovative, customer-focused human resource services in support of the Department of Health's organisational objectives, and ensures its people are positioned to provide effective stewardship of Victoria's health and care systems.
