About the role:
The Executive Director, Enterprise Technology, provides strategic leadership and accountability for enterprise-wide delivery and optimisation of information technology (IT) services for the Department of Health and the Department of Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH).
The Executive Director leads the Enterprise Technology Branch to deliver specialist support and vendor management for a broad portfolio of Software as a Service (SaaS), Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) and custom-built solutions, including platforms developed or implemented through departmental digital programs.
The Executive Director delivers and operates enterprise infrastructure, cloud services and technology programs to support system operations, resilience and high availability. The role is also responsible for optimising IT capabilities to drive cost savings, efficiencies and other benefits across the departments. This includes identifying cost reduction and avoidance of spend on IT as part of ongoing IT cost optimisation.
The role works closely with the department's Chief Information Officer to ensure the smooth management and transition of solution design and delivery to operations, and the efficient deployment of resources.
