The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking an Executive Director, Corrections Policy, Strategy and Service Outcomes to provide executive leadership for Corrections Victoria.
About the Business Unit
Corrections Victoria's purpose is to enhance community safety through the operation of safe and humane community corrections, adult prison and post-sentence systems that supports reducing reoffending by delivering on the fundamentals of good order and control in prisons, a professional and skilled workforce, case management and programs and services that address the root causes of offending behaviour.
Policy, Strategy and System Outcomes is responsible for policy reform, legal policy advice, leading cabinet and budget submissions, system integration and governance and coordination activities on behalf of Corrections Victoria. The Policy Strategy and System Outcomes team's functions ultimately support community corrections, adult prisons and Victoria's post sentence scheme to achieve safe and humane operations and enhance community safety.
