The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking an Executive Coordinator, to provide a critical role within Office of the Deputy Secretary, Corrections and Justice Services.
About the Business Unit
The Corrections and Justice Services (CJS) Group in the Department of Justice and Community Safety (department) supports the Minister for Corrections; and plays an integral role in developing safer and more resilient communities and in delivering a trusted justice and community safety system.
CJS comprises five key business areas - Corrections Victoria; Justice Health (for adult and youth custodial facilities); Policy, Strategy and System Outcomes; Group Services and Coordination; and Justice Services (which includes Community Correctional Services and other justice programs that operate from a Justice Service Centre). CJS works in partnership with the Aboriginal community to improve outcomes for Aboriginal people and communities through active participation in the Aboriginal Justice Forum and associated Collaborative Working Groups.
About the Role
The Executive Coordinator will lead the provision of high-quality administrative support services within the Deputy Secretary's office. While maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of current internal and external issues and risks, the Executive Coordinator, along with the Senior Strategic Adviser, is responsible for ensuring that the Deputy Secretary's office is managed in an effective and efficient manner.
