About the Business Unit:
Victim Services, Support and Reform (VSSR) is part of the Community Safety, Victims and Racing Group within the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS). VSSR is responsible for the delivery and reform of services to victims of crime, placing victims at the centre of our justice system, including:
- provision of strategic leadership and advice on victims of crime issues across government
- driving and influencing victims of crime policy to ensure best practice
- direct service provision of a range of programs including the Victims of Crime Helpline, Victims Register, Victims Assistance Program and specialist witness services.
About the Role:

The Executive Assistant provides high level administrative and executive support, with particular attention to navigating confidentiality, complexity and sensitivity within a dynamic and fast-faced environment across the office of the Executive Director and within VSSR.
Some of your duties will include:
- Leading the provision of high-level, confidential secretarial and administrative support the Executive Director and other executives within Victim Services, Support and Reform, including diary and meeting management, stakeholder liaison, email and travel arrangements
- Providing high-quality assurance and review of briefs and correspondence, amending briefs and liaising with business areas as required
- Assessing and prioritising incoming papers, emails and telephone enquiries and taking follow-up action by replying to and processing correspondence, ensuring department requirements are met.

About You:
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Demonstrated experience as an Executive Assistant to senior management within a highly sensitive and dynamic environment
- Demonstrated ability to analyse issues and determine priorities in an environment of tight and conflicting deadlines, to take initiative and work under limited direction
- Skill and experience in using TRIM, SharePoint and other departmental processes.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- (Desirable) A qualification in Business Administration/Office Management or 5+ years performing executive administration duties.
