About the Role
This is a 12-Months Fixed Term role from 27th October 2025
The Executive Assistant (EA) provides specialised high-level executive support to the Head of Rolling Stock and Ticketing. With a professional and positive approach the EA manages the activities of the Head of Rolling Stock and Ticketing and provides a central liaison point for key internal and external stakeholders.
The EA also manages the diary of the Head of Rolling Stock and Ticketing, provides support for meetings and events, ensures that all necessary liaison and support services are provided and coordinated. The role requires discretion to maintain confidentiality and draws on existing stakeholder networks to facilitate the flow of information across the Transport Group, transport agencies and with key external stakeholders. The ability to pro-actively build and maintain positive working relationships is paramount.
The EA ensures the Head of Rolling Stock and Ticketing is equipped for meetings and assists in facilitating the flow of information to meet deadlines, and respond to stakeholders in a timely manner. The EA plays a role in resolving queries from the wider team including executives.

Key Selection Criteria
The DTP is seeking a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in executive support, office management, and handling sensitive and confidential information in complex environments. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Victoria’s public sector, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and advanced proficiency in computer applications. Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities and implement effective systems and processes, are essential for success in this role.
