About the Role:
We are seeking an Essential Safety Measure (ESM) Systems Advisor to provide expert technical advice in the delivery of State Building Surveyor functions, with a focus on delivery of providing advice, guidance, education and training support to industry and the Building and Plumbing Commission (BPC).
The role will drive improvements to the maintenance of buildings by supporting Council's in how they manage their functions relating to ESM and building owners within their municipal districts, including providing authoritative technical advice, education and stakeholder support.
The role will contribute to the continuous improvement of compliance of essential safety measures and the ongoing maintenance of buildings through the provision of advice, guidance, education and training to key ESM stakeholders, including owners corporations, consumer groups, tenant groups, facility managers, property managers and other advocacy and industry groups.
The role is also instrumental in providing technical advice to the BPC in carrying out their legislative functions. Reporting to the Manager, Training and Education, the role will support the implementation and/or ongoing delivery of nominated projects to achieve the BPC's strategic goals and responsibilities under the Building Act 1993.
