Lowanna College is a vibrant, well-resourced Victorian Government secondary school catering for students from Years 7 to 12. The Instrumental Music Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality instrumental music tuition to students in a supportive, engaging and inclusive learning environment. The successful applicant will provide instruction in one or more of the following areas: drums, piano, bass guitar and guitar, supporting students to develop their musical skills, confidence and performance capabilities.
Working as part of the College's broader music program, the Instrumental Music Instructor will deliver individual and small-group lessons, monitor student progress and encourage participation in performances, ensembles and other music-related activities where appropriate.
The role requires the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and families, fostering a learning environment that promotes student engagement, wellbeing and achievement. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with teaching staff and College leadership to support the delivery of a comprehensive and inclusive music program.
The Instrumental Music Instructor will maintain appropriate records of student participation and progress, contribute to the organisation of performances and events, and ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with Department of Education policies, College procedures and child safety requirements.
