This is a 48/52 position.
As a LMS Design and Innovation Developer, you will build, design, develop and implement high-quality online learning materials, including the creation of engaging and interactive elements to enhance student learning for students from Year 5 to Year 8.
You will be responsible for translating and transforming course documents into engaging, interactive online learning content within the school's LMS, by collaborating directly with the VHAP Assistant Principal, VHAP Leading Teachers, Course Writers, other LMS Design and Innovation Developers & LMS Learning Designers, Editors and other stakeholders. You will have access to ongoing professional development and flexible work arrangements with the ability to work both on and off site.
¿ Create, design and build interactive, engaging learning materials within the Moodle LMS.
¿ Manage the flow of information from the LMS Team and represent the ideas to the VHAP Assistant Principal so there is successful collaboration with the relevant stakeholders.
¿ Provide reports for VHAP Assistant Principal on the progress of LMS Team and recommendations
¿ Build interactive content using various tools, such as H5P and Articulate.
¿ Create or modify assets using various tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite
¿ Work with and advise various stakeholders to improve processes and refine styles.
¿ Lead the advice and support of teaching staff developing learning program material for use within the LMS.
¿ Implement new functions/tools inside the LMS and introduce them to teachers and students as required.
¿ Develop HTML and CSS based templates for teaching staff and students to use.
¿ Perform other duties as directed.
Ideally, you will further have:
¿ Qualifications and/or comparable experience developing digital learning design in a similar or related field and creating interactive elements for the LMS
¿ The ability to build, maintain and lead meaningful and successful relationships with a wide array of internal and external contacts
¿ Experience, preferably in an educational setting, in digital service design using a content management system and/or other integrated learning tools and online programs
¿ Experience with User Interface and User Experience design

VSV employs a hybrid rostering system of remote and onsite work. The successful applicant will be required to work onsite at Virtual School Victoria, 315 Clarendon Street, Thornbury on their rostered onsite day(s).
