The Gambling, Liquor & Tobacco business unit supports the regulation of gambling, liquor and tobacco in Victoria, to minimise the harms these products can cause and contribute positively to the Victorian economy. It is responsible for:

About the role
Working closely with the Senior Finance & Governance Officer, the Engagement & Governance Officer will manage day-to-day engagement with key bodies and stakeholders related, but not limited, to the Gambling Harm Prevention & Response Model, as well as supporting governance and reporting requirements.
Established in 2024, the model aims to prevent gambling harm in the Victorian community through the coordinated delivery of services and programs, behaviour change campaigns, policy and research across the Victorian Government. The model is supported by a Gambling Harm Inter-Departmental Committee, which provides strategic oversight of the model on behalf of the Minister for Casino, Gaming and Liquor Regulation and the (Gambling) Lived Experience Advisory Committee, which provides independent advice on issues affecting Victorians who experience gambling harm based on lived experience.
The Engagement & Governance Officer will act as Secretariat for these, and other bodies where required, supporting the development of agendas, meeting papers, minutes, Ministerial briefings and other documentation, liaising with members outside of meetings and coordinating the logistics of meetings and other engagements. The Engagement & Governance Officer will also act as Secretariat for certain other advisory bodies that support gambling harm minimisation, which may exist within and outside the model from time-to-time.
The Engagement & Governance Officer will be required to work collaboratively with stakeholders across government and the business unit, as well as community representatives. They will also undertake a range of research and analysis tasks to contribute to the provision of advice related to gambling harm.
