The Engagement and Communications Officer role offers an outstanding career opportunity for a professional who is passionate about using their expertise to support VIT in its regulation of Victorian teachers. About you
As an experienced Communications Officer, you will have sound and practical knowledge of current best practice and standards for communication content creation. You will have experience in managing content and production for online platforms, and ideally a passion for child safety and experience working within the education sector.
You will have strong stakeholder engagement skills combined with a highly organised approach and a proven track record in organisational communications across multiple platforms. In addition to this, as the successful candidate, you will have demonstrated the f ollowing key selection criteria:

1. Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues or messages clearly, simply and effectively to a range of audiences.
2. Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply organisational policies and business plans to communication strategies
3. Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and deliver communication and/or engagement projects in a dynamic environment.
4. A proven track record of success in establishing and maintaining outstanding relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Qualities
5. Demonstrate initiative, and ability to respond to change and adopt a flexible/ innovative approach to problems and opportunities.
6. Ability to transform technical information and jargon into creative communications that audiences engage with and respond to in a positive way.

7. Sound experience and proven skills in marketing / communications campaigns and projects.
Highly desirable
8. Well-rounded digital literacy and/or the ability to build social media experiences across various networks.
