The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking an Employment Pathway Broker to provide a critical role within Offender Services and Reintegration.
About the Business Unit
The Offender Services and Reintegration division of Corrections Victoria (CV) is responsible for providing best practice interventions which aim to reduce the risk of reoffending including case management, education, training and employment, prison industries and rehabilitation and reintegration supports. The division contributes to a safer community by supporting a safe and humane corrections system that provides opportunities for rehabilitation, supports reintegration and works toward Aboriginal self-determination.
The Employment Pathways Team delivers a number of employment support services, including job readiness support, referrals into employment support as well as creating and placing people into employment opportunities following their release from prison or while subject to community corrections supervision.
About the Role
The purpose of the Employment Pathway Broker is to establish and maintain partnerships (and supportive governance structures) with organisations that deliver education, training and employment programs and services locally and regionally in the community, as well as industry groups interested in employing offenders.
