The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking an Emergency Management Sector Technical Portfolio Lead to provide a critical role within Emergency Management Victoria.
About the Business Unit
Emergency Management Victoria (EMV), within the Department of Justice and Community Safety, is responsible for the overall coordination of the emergency management system in Victoria. EMV drives the integration of policy, strategy, operational coordination, and planning across Victoria's emergency management sector, contributing to safer, more resilient communities.
Emergency Management Technology refers to national and state technology platforms that enable communications from the community, communications to the community, sector operational communications and sector information systems.
The Emergency Management Technology business unit is responsible for delivering the following key functions:
• Strategy & Enterprise Architecture
• Investment Planning
• Procurement & Program Delivery
• Support & Development
• Vendor & Contract Management
The outcomes delivered by these functions have a Division, Department and sector wide impact, extending beyond the core of the Business Unit activities into the broader operations for the Office of the Deputy Secretary.
About the Role
The Emergency Management Sector Technical Portfolio Lead is responsible for the development of technology and data policy, standards, and guidance to support emergency management capability. The role provides authoritative advice to executives and partner agencies on technology governance, data management and communications policy.
