The Emergency Department SRMO provides direct clinical care within Albury Wodonga Health’s (AWH) Emergency Departments, working as part of a major regional trauma and referral centre. The ED SRMO will provide assessment, investigation and management of Emergency Department patients under appropriate supervision. They will deliver high quality medical care and participate in quality improvement and clinical governance activities within the department and have access to weekly education. This position provides an excellent foundation for doctors intending to pursue specialty training with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM), or General Practice training through RACGP or ACRRM, including the Rural Generalist pathway with Emergency Medicine as an advanced skill where applicable. It is also well suited to doctors seeking to gain additional experience and confidence in Emergency Medicine before commencing specialty training.
