About Us:
Corrections Victoria is responsible for the direction, management, and operation of Victoria's corrections system, which incorporates prisons and Community Correctional Services. As a service agency within the Department of Justice and Community Safety, Corrections Victoria develops and implements policies, programs and services that ensure the safe and secure containment of prisoners, and that seek to rehabilitate offenders by addressing the underlying causes of offending behaviour.
Corrections Victoria manages approximately 40 Community Correctional Services locations across the state and is responsible for managing Victoria's eleven public prisons and overseeing the contracts relating to the management of three privately operated prisons. In doing so, Corrections Victoria delivers a safe and secure corrections system that actively engages offenders and the community to promote positive behaviour change.
About the Role:
The primary purpose of the Electronic Monitoring Compliance Officer role is to monitor wearers' compliance with electronic monitoring requirements, and administer all aspects of the electronic monitoring system, including response to system alerts in accordance with set protocols, management of electronic monitoring inventory and provide advice to a range of stakeholders. The Electronic Monitoring Compliance Officer role includes servicing the metropolitan based trial of the Youth Justice Enhanced Bail Supervision and Support program.
The role is primarily based at the State-wide Services Building, Ravenhall, although some state-wide travel and overnight stays may be required. The Electronic Monitoring Compliance Officer works rostered shifts over a 24-hour period, 7 days per week.
