About this opportunity
Reporting directly to the Manager, Candidate Services, this role leads the VEC's written communications with Candidates during the election period, supporting the delivery of electoral events. It plays a key role in ensuring Candidates receive timely, compliant and up-to-date information throughout the election to allow them to meet their responsibilities.
About the team
The Candidate Services team is responsible for managing the Candidate experience, as well as key processes relating to candidates such as Nominations and How-to-vote card registration.
A day in the life of an Elections Project Advisor – Technical Writing
You will support the delivery of election operations by drafting and maintaining candidate communications. Working closely with key internal subject experts to ensure material is correct. Organizing sign off for material during busy, time-critical periods. Your role focuses on assisting with coordination, tracking tasks and actions, and maintaining accurate information that supports Candidate Services deliverables. You will work closely with others, follow clear direction, and adapt quickly as priorities shift—particularly during peak election periods when legislative deadlines are tight, and work is fast moving.
