About the Division
Assessment Division is responsible for the end-to-end development, delivery, and reporting of F-10, VCE examinations, the General Achievement Test (GAT) and NAPLAN. This includes the full assessment lifecycle: development of frameworks and blueprints, panel appointments, content development, editorial and design services, logistics, administration, marking, data processing, and reporting of outcomes.
The Editorial and Design Unit in Assessment Development Branch provides end-to-end editorial and publication services for print and electronic external assessments and stakeholder communication materials, including VCE examinations, the GAT, external assessment reports, and other assessment materials, in accordance with VCAA style and branding guidelines and accessibility standards.
Role Purpose
The Editor, Editorial and Design Unit, Assessment Development Branch is part of a high-performing team delivering external assessments for Victorian students. Operating within a fast-paced environment with strict security and confidentiality requirements, Editors work with VCAA staff and sessional assessment development teams to ensure assessment materials, including VCE examinations and the General Achievement Test, are valid, reliable, and accessible to all students. This role requires on-site work.
