This role combines supporting individual students with working as a general classroom aide. The successful candidate will work closely with a classroom teacher to provide calm, consistent support that helps students stay engaged, regulated and ready to learn.
A key part of the role is assisting select students who need extra help with learning, behaviour or daily routines. Alongside this, the ES staff member will also work across other classrooms when required, supporting learning programs from Prep to Grade Six. This may include small group work, helping students stay on task and assisting with literacy and numeracy activities.
The role is shaped around the strengths of the successful candidate. You will collaborate with the teacher to decide how best to support students and contribute to a positive, well-organised learning environment. You will be part of a small, friendly team that values clear communication and places students at the centre of all decisions.

Thorpdale Primary School is a small, community-minded school located in the heart of the rolling hills of West Gippsland. The township of Thorpdale sits between Trafalgar and Mirboo North and is known for its rich farmland and fresh produce.
