The school is situated on a landscaped 2.2-hectare site in Keysborough South, approximately 27 km southeast of Melbourne. This culturally diverse and rapidly growing community provides a dynamic environment for our students.
Our Learning Spaces & Teaching Approach
At Keysborough Gardens, we provide a learning environment that supports explicit teaching, focusing on strong literacy and numeracy skills. As an accredited International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, we also use a structured inquiry approach that allows students to apply their learning to real-life situations, making learning meaningful and memorable, as well as fostering a love for learning.
Our flexible learning spaces are designed to meet the diverse needs of our students. These spaces are not open-plan but instead consist of a variety of different-sized rooms that allow for explicit teaching sessions in large, medium, or small groups, depending on student needs. This design enables effective differentiation and targeted instruction within our Professional Learning Community model.

Our educators use evidence-based approaches to ensure high-quality teaching and learning experiences. As a result of our proactive wellbeing program and comprehensive learning framework, our students have consistently achieved high academic results.
As an IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) school, our learning program goes beyond academics by building essential life skills such as communication, critical thinking, self-management, and social skills. Through this approach, students develop confidence and resilience, preparing them for lifelong success. We provide numerous opportunities for student voice to be heard, fostering a strong sense of belonging and empowerment within our school community.

Our teachers work collaboratively to plan and deliver high-quality learning experiences tailored to each student¿s individual needs. They use ongoing assessment and student learning data to inform instruction, ensuring that every child experiences growth and success.
Facilities & School Community
Our school features state-of-the-art learning spaces, including:
In 2025, we will embark on a new building project that includes the development of a new STEM centre and a four-class learning community, as well as the expansion of our playground areas and sports facilities.
Early 2025 will see the completion of our creative and passive play area, featuring a cubby house café, fire station, and veterinary clinic cubby, along with gardens and a dry creek bed for students to explore and play.
We are committed to fostering strong partnerships between school and home. Our School Council and parent community play a vital role in supporting the school¿s operations and programs. There are many opportunities for parents and carers to engage in the school, from participating in School Council to joining School Council subcommittees such as the Community Events and Fundraising Committee and the Buildings and Grounds Committee. Parents and carers can also contribute as classroom helpers, assist on school camps and excursions, and share their skills and expertise with students as part of our
PYP community of experts, connecting their hobbies and occupations to units of inquiry.
