Lavers Hill & District Pre-school is a small rural pre-school set within the grounds of Lavers Hill K-12 College. The kindergarten has great connections with the school where they can access weekly swimming lessons using our indoor heated pool, the children get a weekly Indonesion session, music session and PE session from skilled staff. Our staff are employed under the Victorian Government Schools Agreement 2022 (VGSA) and they have opportunities to build connections with staff in the school setting.
KSC 1 - Develop, plan, and implement an engaging, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate educational program
KSC 2 - Foster strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
KSC 3 - Ensure compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, Child Safe Standards, and all Lavers Hill K-12 College policies.
KSC 4 - Use regular observations and reflections to guide intentional teaching and ensure the program responds to each child¿s strengths, interests, and needs.
KSC 5 - Contribute to the ongoing development of the service¿s Quality Improvement Plan.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a kindergarten teacher to come and work in a small, supportive rural setting. Our kindergarten currently has 9 students and a kindergarten assistant. The role of our Kindergarten teacher is to design and lead play-based programs that support children's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development. Key responsibilities include implementing high-quality educational programs, nurturing curiosity, promoting a love for learning, and ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for children. You are responsible for the compliance of the Pre-school and report directly to the school principal.

Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) and qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the curriculum area(s) specified for the position. In addition, this position requires an individual to hold both teacher and early childhood teacher (dual) VIT registration.

The succcessful applicant may be eligible to apply for additional financial incentives including a location incentive up to $21,000 and relocation expenses. We are happy to look at starting the contract for the successful applicant in December if necessary.
This vacancy is to replace an employee on parental absence and is for a period of seven years or until the employee absent on leave returns to duty at the school.
